I’ve been working as a commercial photographer in Atlanta for the past 3 years now and I’ve met an amazing person, Emma Elaine. Emma, who I met in graduate school at SCAD Atlanta, worked with me side by side at SCAD’s photography studio and eventually helped me get my position with the Home Depot. Our relationship started off as just as work buddies, but has blossomed into a great friendship and now partnership in creating Silver Magnolia Creative, a luxury photography service company.

Freelance Commercial Photography

While still working full time for The Home Depot’s photography studio and creating media for their website, I have been freelancing at some of Atlanta’s commercial photography studios in my free time, here’s a few recent projects that I’ve been working on.

Bealls Outlet:

These outside projects have been a great change from my traditional studio life and it was a pleasure working with all the teams and models, all this hard work does pay off.

Ruination: Event Photos

Video

The Spruill Gallery

Address: 4681 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30346

September 16 – October 29, 2016

Ruination explores the impact of mankind’s intervention in the natural world. From abstract chemical landscapes to fictional vignettes and sculptural portrayals, this group exhibition employs photography and sculpture to illustrate contemporary perspectives on environmental consequences.

Each artist confronts a differing topic within the larger themes encompassing Ruination.  The imagery functions not only as harrowing portraits of our natural surroundings, but also as reflections of ourselves.  Featuring the work of photographers Katherine Dean, Hannah Kraus, Tauri Scruggs, Keri Weiland and sculptors Christine Bentley & Matthew Phillips.

This exhibition is in conjunction with Atlanta Celebrates Photography.

Personal Paranoia

This side series that branches off from my main thesis project that I’ve been working on for the past year about my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and how I live without the use of pharmaceuticals. Being off medication for OCD, I have personal paranoia’s that even though I know they are absurd, I find myself giving into them. I know my locks wont magically unlock them selves but I still feel the need to check and have full control of my environment. These vignettes are about the fake and over exaggerated fears left over from my mental obsessions.
